ARCHON Skilled Nursing provides the skilled care and rehabilitation services our residents need after hospital discharge or if they have a decline in health. Our residents can receive this important skilled care when they need it, right here in the Home they call home.

ARCHON Skilled Nursing provides our residents with advanced nursing care in the welcoming and caring ARCHON environment they are familiar with. We provide 24-hour nursing and rehabilitative care designed to help restore our residents to the fullest possible independence. We also provide all personal care, like incontinence management and medication administration well as dressing, bathing and eating. Plus, we offer daily programs and activities to help nurture our residents and enhance their lives.

Skilled nursing care can be provided to either help a resident recover or rehabilitate after an illness or hospitalisation, or for on-going care. Skilled nursing care is a high level of medical care that can include:

• Wound care
• Intravenous therapy
• Physical, occupational or speech therapy
• Nutrition therapy
• Pain management
• Specialty care for recovery from stroke, heart attack or transplant
• Post-Op care
• Non Contagious long convalesce

ARCHON Skilled Nursing is delivered in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Our living spaces – both indoor and out – are professionally designed for maximum comfort. Suites are designed with privacy in mind to respect the dignity of our residents, and can be decorated with family mementos and cherished keepsakes. Nutritious and delicious meals are prepared by a professional culinary staff and served restaurant-style in our specially designated dining rooms, so our residents enjoy social and pleasant mealtime experiences.

With a focus on individual attention, our residents who need nursing care receive a range of daily activities that keep them mentally engaged and as safely active as possible. Their preferences are always taken into consideration. That means if they feel like being social, we help them join in with activities like a sing-along or trivia game. If they prefer more solitary activities, we can accompany them on a walk or in quiet conversation.

While we provide nursing care, some residents may require additional medical support, such as physical therapy or specialist visits. We’ll coordinate with those providers and bring that care onsite for added convenience.

Our Skilled Nursing staff includes on-site licensed nurses, fully-trained personal care staff and a licensed physician who supervises each resident’s care. So, while medical attention is always at hand, so too is individual, caring support like a listening ear or an encouraging word.
